It was established on 1909 by Thomas Kay, a young English weaver. The firm has been making its mark on the history of Oregon, since the mid 19th century. It’s traditional blankets were used as barter to standardize the value of trading among Native Americans.
During the period of World War II, Pendleton produced uniforms, blankets and clothing for the US military services.
